THE YOGA OF SOUND RETREAT
WITH PROFESSOR PARAMJEET SINGH
"Music is inbuilt in every human being," says Professor Paramjeet Singh. "So every human being on the planet has the right to use their voice and the music inside of them to meditate and enjoy life."
A renowned maestro of Indian classical music vocal performance, Professor Paramjeet will be leading an immersion into the Yoga of Sound, in Reston, Virginia on May 31st and June 1st, 2014. World devotional music pioneer GuruGanesha Singh, who is one of the professor's devoted students will also be participating in the workshop. "Professor Paramjeet bears the spiritual torch carried down through centuries of India's profound music tradition," GuruGanesha says. "He is an authentic master sure to inspire those of us who wish to add the practice of voice and sound to their lives."
By delving into the ancient wisdom of Naad Yoga (the Yoga of Sound), the retreat offers a wonderful opportunity to achieve a more holistic understanding of music and its role in all our lives, and to discover yourself by discovering your voice. The workshops are open to all. No prior music training or performance experience is necessary. But lifelong musicians and singers can also benefit greatly from the Professor's wisdom, gentle humor and profound understanding of music's spiritual essence. "In the workshops, we share the wonderful philosophy of what music really is," says Professor Paramjeet. "There is so much to discover when we become open to music's full potential and beauty."
