Tina Malia’s prodigious talent spans many musical genres and disciplines. As a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer she has distinguished herself in styles ranging from dream pop to world devotional to electronic. Having known each other and played together on various stages nationwide, the complementary nature of their spirit-based global music lends itself perfectly to an inspired and unique musical evening.  Hans will open with a solo set of cello, looping and other instruments. Then Tina Malia will take the stage with Jared May. Hans will be joining them on a handful of selections as a featured guest artist.  Tina’s songs will take you to faraway lands and bring you home to yourself simultaneously.

Hans Christian is a classically trained cellist who is also skilled with several exotic stringed-instruments, such as mohan veena (adapted sitar), the Swedish nyckelharpa, and the sarangi. While Hans has thrived as producer, multi-instrumentalist, solo and touring artist, his versatility as performer and recording artist for over 25 years has created a legacy of concerts and recordings that have touched people’s hearts around the world. His unmistakable cello playing moves the listener with a haunting beauty, and his use of live looping and various ethnic string instruments expresses a universal musical language that transcends boundaries, cultures, and generations.
