Paloma Devi Full Moon Concert of Devotional Music

Celebrating Paloma Devi's first solo CD "Let It Be So" this beautiful Full Moon evening of devotional music will feature Paloma Devi on vocals, Tripp Dudley on tabla, and music guests, local wonders Daniel Chambo and Daniel Barber for a multi-cultural mix of devotional songs and contemporary music, including mantras, bhajans, Spanish flavors, and much more. Yes! Dancing is encouraged!

Both Paloma Devi and Tripp Dudley have been performing with the GuruGanesha Band, she as a lead female vocalist and harmonium player, and he as the band's multi-faceted percussionist. Last Fall, as part of a U.S. tour, they came to Asheville with the GG Band and opened for  Deva Premal and Miten’s fantastic MantraFest evening at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, to a full house.

Now Paloma Devi is returning to share her solo music, her songs and arrangements, her clearly inspired and passionate voice, with us, performing at the Altamont Theatre at 18 Church St. in downtown Asheville. We encourage you to buy tickets in advance to ensure that you'll be able to get in on Sunday, August 10 at 7 PM. The doors will open at 6:00 PM. A certain number of standing room tickets will also be available at that time, if the theatre is fully booked.

Tickets at this online site are $20 plus a small processing fee and will be sold until noon of the day of the event, Sunday, August 10. Please bring a receipt from the tickets purchased through BrightStar Events with you to the door; there will be a ‘Will Call’ table at the entrance and you can pick up your physical ticket then. All tickets at the door are $25. (If you prefer to pay with cash or check in advance, tickets are $20 and available downtown at Malaprops Bookstore, 55 Haywood St., until Friday, August 8 at noon.)
