Do I need a certain level of experience before taking this course?
All you need is an open mind and open heart, and the willingness to open new healing pathways in your life.

What is tuition?
We offer early-bird tuition for $875 for the first 20 registrants or until Nov. 1, whichever comes first. Standard tuition of $1,275 will apply after Nov. 1.

Where does the workshop take place?
You will experience the natural and peaceful setting at The Meditation Nest, a private retreat just steps from the sand, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Carlsbad, Calif. We call this the “Sweet Spot of the Universe.” It’s a 30-minute drive from the San Diego International Airport by taxi, car service or rental car, which you will need to arrange. You will receive detailed driving instructions and an address in your registration confirmation packet.

Are there exams?
There will not be a test or exams.

Will there be guest teachers or other activities scheduled?
Together we will practice yoga and meditation every morning and evening. There will also be guest speakers or instructors.

What are the accommodations like at The Meditation Nest?
The Meditation Nest is a private beach-front home in Carlsbad with eight bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Toiletries, towels and washcloths are provided, and there are washers, dryers, hot tubs, couches, chairs and backjacks available for use throughout the week. You will be within short walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shopping and hotels.

What should I pack?
Comfortable, casual clothes such as yoga pants, sweats, flip flops and running shoes. Layers are good in case the weather turns chilly, which happens often on the coast. Other items to pack: a blank journal, light reading, toiletries and any comforts of home.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes! There is plenty of space for you to store your personal food preferences and dietary supplements. Light snacks and beverages will be available to you daily. We will provide you with recommended local eateries and information.

Will I have designated free time?
The schedule is pretty full, but you will have time for reflection, personal journaling and meals on your own.

How many people are enrolled in each workshop?
We keep our groups small to allow for the most personal connection among students at the retreat.

Booking Your Lodging

Lodging is not included in tuition and must be booked seperately. Because guests work closely with davidji from sunrise to sunset, you are encouraged to stay at The Meditation Nest. Rooms in The Nest range from:

• private bedroom with a queen bed and private bathroom at $235 per night - $705; two can share a bed


• private bedroom for two with two queen beds and a full private bathroom at $220 per night/per person - $660; and


• shared bedroom with 4 bunk beds and a shared bathroom at $180 per night - $540 per person which can sleep up to three
