Ayurveda means science of life, a system of healing from ancient India. Besides introducing main concepts of Ayurveda, this course will present Ayurveda from the yogic perspective, using Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to guide you to that place of consciousness from which the ancient rishis discovered Ayurveda. When we connect into that Source, Ayurvedic principles come alive to fuel deep understanding, and a powerful path opens for the healing of Self and others.
Day 1 class: Introduction to Ayurveda from a yogic perspective
- History of Ayurveda and its context in today's world of medicine and healing
- Tattvas, Doshas, Gunas
- Layers of Tissue and Agni (digestion) within the body and mind
- Ayurvedic understanding of how illness arises and alleviates
- Homeopathic Ayurveda, how to utilize the energies of illness and “imbalance” as if they were a gift instead of a mistake
Day 2 class:
- Learn how to bring Ayurveda from knowledge to useful experience, how to improve your ability to digest life and all that it brings to you
- Practical application of yogic techniques for self-healing within the context of Ayurveda
- Learn how to explore your assumptions, the belief sets that keep feeding perceptions of reality
- Following the clues provided by our Sensory System, learn how to follow the doshic track back to the misperceptions that allowed illness to arise
- Penetrating more deeply with meditation to find intuitively the Grace where misperception dissolves and the need for illness falls away
