COLEMAN BARKS is the foremost Rumi translator and scholar. His newest book, 'Soul Fury (out 10/14/14)' presents a seminal collection of poetry on friendship and love by Rumi, one of America’s most enduring poets.
Coleman is a renowned poet and the bestselling author of The Essential Rumi, The Soul of Rumi, Rumi: The Book of Love, and The Drowned Book. He was prominently featured in both of Bill Moyers’ PBS-TV series on poetry, “The Language of Life” and “Fooling with Words.” He taught English and poetry at the University of Georgia for thirty years, and now focuses on writing, readings, and performances
MICHAEL MEADE is a renowned storyteller, author, and mythologist. He taps ancestral wisdom to give meaning to the inner life and the outer world.
Michael is the author of Why the World Doesn’t End: Tales of Renewal in Times of Loss, Fate and Destiny: The Two Agreements of The Soul, The Water of Life: Initiation and the Tempering of the Soul; editor, with James Hillman and Robert Bly, of Rag and Bone Shop of the Heart; and editor of Crossroads: A Quest for Contemporary Rites of Passage. Meade is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.
PEIA is a vocalist, composer and Sacred Song preserver of traditions that span across the globe. She has traveled extensively and studied from the rich lineages of Medieval Chant, Bulgarian and Celtic Folk Music, Indian Classical Raga and Medicine songs from the Native peoples of North and South America.
