Bali Yoga and Surfing Retreat

Bali Yoga and Surfing Retreat offers you two experiences within majestic Bali. A five day Yoga Retreat with Pete in Ubud at Villa Gaia and a five day Yoga & Surf Retreat with Pete and surf instructor extraordinaire Sergio Penaloza at Sedasa Surf Lodge, in Canggu.

We have accommodation options to fit any budget and preference.

Villa Gaia is a 7 bedroom villa near downtown Ubud. The view from Villa Gaia is quintessential Bali: swaying palms and lush fruit trees line the edges of terraced rice fields that extend into the distance. There is a private stairway with direct access to the Rice fields for wonderful morning walks.

The villa has a pool, sauna and  yoga space with a scrumptious view over the rice paddies. The nightly dinner buffets are not only mouthwatering for the best of foodies, but can accommodate any food particulars: vegan, non gluten options available. Each room is unique in its own way. No two rooms alike. All rooms can accommodation single or couple sleeping arrangements with twin beds or queen beds.

Yoga will be led by Pete Guinosso, who is known for his joyful energy and skilled touch and sense of humor. Pete creates a spiritual yet light-hearted environment for his students to uncover the deeper benefits of yoga. Pete’s teaching style is best described as a Forrest Yoga-inspired Vinyasa Flow designed to help you journey toward connecting your mind, body and spirit through breath work and awareness. He creates powerful sequences to build a fluid practice of meditative movement, while cultivating an awareness of healthy alignment.

Sedasa Surf Lodge, located in Canggu, a quick walk from Berawa Beach and minutes away from surf lover’s Echo Beach. For some local flair, Sedasa is located just meters away from  Pantai Berawa, which is the main street of Canggu. Sedasa has 10 rooms, all spacious, each with a private bath. The pool is located in the center of the lodge, with rooms on the ground level facing the pool, or upstairs facing the rooftop yoga space (veranda). Rooms can accommodate couples, doubles and triples. All rooms at Sedasa are air conditioned.

Sergio Peñaloza, of Los Angeles joins Pete as our private surf instructor.  An enthusiastic, fun and passionate surfing coach, he has one goal in mind; to help you feel the thrill of catching a wave. Sergio, a popular Los Angeles surf instructor and personal trainer, has been surfing for over 30 years and teaching surfing for 10 years. (http://www.personalsurflessons.com)

Prices are per person. All retreats include accommodations, breakfast and dinner. Also included is yoga two times per day with Pete at Villa Gaia. The surf and yoga retreat includes 1-2 surf excursions and lessons per day with Sergio, plus one by boat surfing/snorkeling excursion. Surf boards, equipment and beach transportation also included. Yoga will be included each day, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the best surfing conditions.
