Experience the enchanting rhythms of Rumi Daf Ensemble, led by Jalal Kimia, in a concert that unfolds in two mesmerizing parts.  

• In the first part, Jalal Kimia will showcase his skill on multiple percussion instruments in four distinct chapters, each dedicated to one of the elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.  Through these chapters, the music will vividly evoke the essence and ambiance of each element, captivating the audience with its imagery and emotions.  


• In the second part, the entire Rumi Daf Ensemble will present a selection of percussion compositions by Jalal Kimia, along with songs featuring the poetry of Rumi. This segment carries a spiritual resonance, enhanced by the inclusion of one or two songs  accompanied by a Sama' dancer, adding a visual element to the profound musical experience.

In 2019, Jalal Kimia, alongside his advanced students and musician friends, established the "Rumi Daf Ensemble", which is based in the Washington DC area. As an active music organization, the primary mission of the "Rumi Daf Ensemble" is to showcase and preserve Iranian Culture & Art, both within and beyond the borders of the United States.

Moreover, the ensemble is dedicated to introducing and familiarizing the younger generation and non-Iranian community with the Daf instrument, a revered and ancient musical instrument.
