CDS Founder, DJ Gabriel BE, along with his beloved, the amazing and incomparable Mary Dancer, TEAM UP to bring you an evening of loving, joyous and above all INCLUSIVE Movin’ & Shakin’

7:30pm : Mary Dancer invites us all to Dance Deeper into COMMUNITY in her 20-minute interactive Play-Shop. Break free from the ‘familiar’ of dancing solo or with a partner by learning to join your collective tribe - dancing with MANY - in a playful variety of movements. Experience the thrill of group dynamics; dancing with side bodies, back bodies, and EMBRACING the SPACE between.

8:00pm - 9:30pm: DJ Gabriel BE ignites the Dance Floor with his Musica Medicina! Calling forth our wild-tribal natures. Anchoring the deep bass. Funk-defying the House. And Swingin' our Soulful Hearts into rapturous abandon!

ABOUT Mary Dancer’s EMBRACING SPACE Play-Shop:

In her captivating, motivating and always playful style, Mary Dancer invites us to take advantage of the full space of the dance floor. With encouragement to move from ‘our’ space to other places on the dance floor... the front, the back, the middle (and see how it feels) and to fluidly venture into the spaces between other people. She helps us ask and answer: How can we respectfully dance the space or area AROUND other dancers? How can we engage with them without squaring off with them? How can we dance with them back to back, but not touching backs? How might we dance side by side or twirl around another? Changing levels, bending our knees, stretching sideways... Can we dance in another persons flow or rhythm whether they are right next to you, or even across the room? How can we invite others into our dance? One more person, then another, two more until you are dancing with 5 people or even expand our invitation and inclusion to 10 people or the entire dance floor? How can we Embrace the Space between us as we hear the spaces between notes become the MUSIC we love?
