Cultivating Care

*Inspiration for those who serve from the heart*

A unique two-day event of presentations, discussions, connection, and a collaborative art project for health and healing practitioners, sacred activists and providers of care. You can come to one or all events.

Friday Sept 30th

An evening discussion featuring Lissa Rankin MD, author of Mind Over Medicine The Fear Cure, and The Anatomy of a Calling.

Lissa will present keys to support care practitioners and activists face the challenges of their work and their life. She will be exploring such questions as: how does our healing relate to the healing of the planet? How we can meet the real issues and challenges of our times while finding more balance in our own lives?

Lissa is fired up about healing our broken health care system, one empowered patient and one conscious care provider at a time..

We will be offering a organic wine and cheese reception from 6-7pm to meet and greet.
Non-alcoholic options will be served as well.

Saturday Oct 1st

Collaborative Art and Healing Project with Lissa Rankin MD and Shiloh Sophia, internationally known artist and teacher of Intentional Creativity, founder of Cosmic Cowgirls and Color of Women School.

The Medicine Blanket Project: Transformation Through Art

Imagine one of the world's most gifted and renowned sacred artists sharing her secrets on how to bring your heart and soul into your creative process. Imagine a leading Doctor in mind body medicine talking about the role of intention in healing. Imagine this process convening in such a way as to offer you a profound transformational experience. And now...as if that isn't enough...imagine this potent process will produce a beautiful gift for those who need it--a gift that keeps giving and gets more powerful as it goes.

Shiloh will share with you a 5 step Intentional Creativity process designed just for the Cultivating Care project.  While we paint Medicine Blankets, you will get tools for your own self-care and how to more effectively care for others. There will be deep drop-in time for connecting, conversation, story and support for your own healing journey. All levels welcome--from advanced to never picking up a brush!

You will leave with a blanket you have designed that carries the energy of your healing, or you can donate it and it will be given to people in need of healing, critically ill and in recovery.

We will have live soundscape and a sacred space setting for us throughout the day. The workshop culminates in a ceremony where we will give and receive real care.

9:30am-5pm Blessing Ceremony 5-7
