This special event is dedicated to sharing practices and experiences of using sound vibrations in healing and self-empowerment.

Please join us for an evening of technology, spirit, and song under downtown LA's Vortex Immersive Dome. This expressive performance will be full of learning experiences and will celebrate the release of the special edition vinyl album of Kirtan Lounge, Precious Jewels.

This 2017 release Precious Jewels, submitted for World Music, New Age, and Special Packaging Grammy consideration, is also accompanied with a limited-edition vinyl package enhanced with the latest iBeacon and EddyStone technology. This portable beacon card--the size of a credit card--allows fans to download and stream exclusive content, get personalized check-in at events and much more.

Kirtan Lounge started as a dreamy experiment when Gopi Kallayil and Ananta Govinda decided to collaborate on performing and producing music for meditation and mindfulness and make it a love offering to the yoga community and world music lovers. Creating the first album became an exciting journey and labor of love that spanned seven countries and three years. Precious Jewels is the collective effort of many talented musicians who shared their artistic gifts in this project.

Under a 360 degree projection dome called the Vortex Immersive Media, an oasis of technology in downtown LA, the expressive performances will be full of learning experiences, The event will celebrate the release of the special edition vinyl album of Kirtan Lounge Precious Jewels. Drawings from the vinyl package  and fun prizes will be given away.

2 pm Gopi Kallayil will speak about 7 Principles of Innovation at Google and debut a chapter from his new book Happy Human. Together with Ananta they will lead an interactive media presentation Internet to the Inner-net, based on Gopi's best-selling book.

 3 pm welcoming tea ceremony and an opportunity to unwind into the weekend with a Yoga for Musicians, class led by Daniel Overberger specifically designed for music industry professionals.

3:45 pm Chakraline - interactive multi-media presentation in the 360 projection dome led by Gopi Kallayil and Ananta Govinda that will help you better understand and align your chakras with sound vibrations. Venture and understand the connection between sacred geometry and sound through music, narration and visuals.

4:30 pm MindTravel - Gorgeous and provocative avant-garde real-time piano compositions with Murray Hidary, spontaneously improvised, infused with wisdom traditions, theoretical physics and the power of communal elevation.

5 pm Cornflower (Bobby McFerrin, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Victor Wooten,) will lead a mantra vocalization workshop. Joined by some of the Kirtan Lounge's artists -  this participatory presentation will deepen connection with your own voice.

6 pm noted controllerist Laura Escudé (Alluxe) (Kanye West,The Weekend, Iggy Azalea, Herbie Hancock, Bon Iver, Garbage,) will speak on the the power of meditation, showcase her latest gear and set up and play some tracks from her latest album release. Joining her on Tiltbrush resident artist will demonstrate latest in Google 3D virtual painting technology as an interactive addition to the electronic soundscapes and ancient chants.


7:00 Vegetarian dinner will be served and winners of the draws will be announced. Kirtan Lounge's "Precious Jewels" deluxe vinyl sets, enhanced with latest Beacon technology will be distributed among the winners. Vijay from the Kirtaniyas will sing some Vrindavan style Krishna kirtan.

7:30 Kirtan Lounge will climax with a performance from Fanna-fi-Allah - Sufi Qawwali kirtan band that will sweep audiences away by energetic beats and melodic mantras. A spinning dervish as a devotional dancer will accompany the band to connect the ancient tradition of Kirtan. This performance will be captured in VR and streamed online and into the adjacent hallway for live viewing.
