Jacqueline Michelle is an Australian singer-songwriter, yoga teacher, model and actress, best known as a Kirtan artist in collaboration with her husband Govind Das. Together they founded Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica, CA, which for years was one of the most important hubs of the Kirtan community in the greater Los Angeles area. She has recorded six albums as both a mantra artist and as a singer-songwriter, and is beloved for her strong, supple voice and commanding stage presence. Govind Das is a California-based Bhakti Yogi and Kirtan singer and his spiritual name suggests “servant of the divine.” He is a devotee of the great Indian saint Neem Karoli Baba as well as Ram Dass and a follower of the path of love. His intention is to share Bhakti Yoga in the spirit of celebrating life and developing a personal and intimate connection with the Divine and his commitment to Bhakti Yoga and the ideals of love, service, and devotion is the essence, which is reflected and transmitted through his music and teachings.
