Event Description

UPDATE ON THE KIRTAN FUNDRAISING EVENT

The Guru Ram Das Ashram extends our deepest gratitude and a heartfelt thank you for all the support and kindness shown for our Kirtan Fundraising Event.

We spent a glorious day enjoying kirtan by the jethas we know and love in our Sunday programs. It was a great day for Guru Ram Das Ashram.

Our gratitude to all who came and all who gave!

If you missed the event, you may still enjoy it by watching the recording here for 2 weeks!

Please donate generously and help us support Nanak’s Kitchen Food Relief Program.  Our goal is double our outreach from 200 to 400 bags of groceries per month during this holiday season! We encourage you to consider donating, if you haven't already, using the links below.

Watch Now!

Donate Nanak's Kitchen

Donate Pool Restoration Project

Like Water with Water Fundraiser & Kirtan brings together nine beautiful musicians in service to the community’s two newest projects: Nanak’s Kitchen, a community food service project which grew from our recent kitchen renovations, and the Water Feature Restoration Project, an effort to restore the natural water feature on the land and protect it for future generations.

Funds raised by the event will go directly to support the food security and food relief programs for Nanak's Kitchen and to support the Water Feature Restoration Project.

Pond Restoration Project

The spring fed pond at the Ashram is a holy place.  The water is super-pure, clean and cold. Our goal is to create a sacred sarovar, a sanctuary for ishnaan, meditation, and renewal, a place where sangat, students, and other visitors can go to renew by being in nature.

Nanak's Kitchen Food Relief Program

Langar kitchens and food relief have a very long tradition within the Sikh community.  The newly remodeled Nanak's Kitchen at Guru Ram Das Ashram provides that same service in a contemporary way. Our goal is to support the food relief program efforts to provide wholesome groceries to food-insecure families and seniors in Millis and the Greater Norfolk County community. Our large commercial kitchen and dedicated volunteers make Nanak’s Kitchen the ideal location for a food pantry to help supplement assistance already provided locally by Millis Ecumenical Food Pantry and other food relief programs in the area.

While registration for the event is free to ensure access for all, we encourage attendees to donate as generously as they can.
