Salt Ride 2022:An Exhilarating Journey For A Cause

A journey from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, a beach where the 'Salt Tax' law was broken by the Indian leader and freedom fighter, Mahatma Gandhi - The Salt Ride has its roots ingrained deep within the Indian history and culture.

Not only is this an opportunity to test endurance and set yourself a challenge. It will give you a chance to explore village schools, some of which have been developed by Go Dharmic. You will also get to experience traditional Indian culture and values from the local people. All whilst helping us spread the message that we need to take a stand for our planet!

On this 8-day trip, you will cycle through the exciting Indian terrain, witness memorable sights and imprint your share of gratuity towards the cause of saving mother earth from rapid climate change!

84 KM southward over 24 days toward the coastal village of Dandi. Along the final stretch  crowds of thousands gathered to watch Gandhi and his followers deliberately break the law by evaporating seawater to make their own salt.

The Salt Ride provides you with an opportunity to experience & enjoy this rural India and its spirituality firsthand: its rural 
culture, folk-life and traditional meals. Join us on this all-immersive 8-day cycling experience, where we will ride 
approximately 384 KM, following the route of Mahatma Gandhi's famous salt march raising awareness and vital funds 
for Go Dharmic and our environmental campaigns!
